What your teen can do in Studodo

Studodo is a free study app for ages 13 and up. No ads, nothing to buy, no chat. Every social feature is off until your teen turns it on.

Who sees what

WhoWhat they seeWhen
NobodyAnything at allWhile every social feature is off (the default). Without an account, progress stays on the phone.
FriendsUsername, avatar, XP, streak and weekly XPOnly people your teen accepted. Under 18, people can add your teen only with their friend code unless your teen turns on search.
LeagueUsername, avatar, weekly XPOnly if your teen joins leagues. Leagues are split by age: 13–15, 16–17 and 18+ never mix.
School boardPre-made nickname, avatar, weekly XPOnly students in the same age group at the school your teen picks (once every 30 days).
A teacherUsername, the name your teen gives the class, a school student ID if one is added, scores and progress on class workOnly after your teen joins a class with the teacher's code. Teachers can never be friends with students, gift them or challenge them.

There is no messaging and no free text between students: friends can only send pre-written cheers. Adults (18+) can't join classes as students, can't search for or add anyone under 18, and never share a league with them.

Screen Time: Apple may list Studodo under "Social Networking" because it has optional friends and leagues. If you block social apps, Studodo will be blocked too; you can allow it by name in Screen Time → Always Allowed or App Limits.

Parent tools

  • Parent PIN

On your teen's phone: Profile → Settings → Family → Set PIN. With a PIN, turning on leagues, friends, challenges, school boards or classes asks for it. Turning things off never needs it.

  • Family link

Your teen makes a code in Settings → Family → Family link and gives it to you. You see a weekly summary below: study totals, which social features are on, how many friends (no names) and the classes they joined. Your teen sees exactly the same and can stop it anytime.

  • Delete or download

In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account, and Settings → Your data → Download everything. Or use the request form below.

Ask us something about your teen's account

How we check it's you: before deleting or sending data we confirm the request, for example by asking your teen to confirm it from their signed-in app, through a family link you already have, or by replying from the account's email address. Child-safety concerns are reviewed first, usually within 24 hours. We keep these requests for 180 days, then delete them. Prefer email? support@studodo.com
